The financier purchased a more modest island - the Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but subsequently obtained the more expansive Great St James in 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
The released images indicate he had drawn up plans to build upon the substantial island by erecting residences, an performance venue, an submerged workspace and a swimming pool.
